• Type of braces - metal brackets are the most affordable; aesthetic (ceramic and sapphire) and Damon self-ligating braces cost more.
• One or both jaws - whether braces go on the upper jaw, the lower jaw or both.
• Complexity and length of treatment - mild misalignment is corrected faster, while bite problems need longer treatment and more check-ups.
• Additional treatment - sometimes teeth or gums need treating first. Tooth extraction is not a mandatory part of treatment.
