Turkey is where most people first price a Hollywood smile, and the packages look hard to beat. Serbia offers the same treatment at a similar price with a shorter flight. This is a head-to-head on what you actually pay, what the treatment involves in each country, and the questions that separate a good result from the "Turkey teeth" stories. For the wider comparison with Hungary and Croatia, see the country-by-country guide.
Hollywood smile price: Turkey vs Serbia vs home
Our price is on the Hollywood smile price page. The other figures are typical published ranges for 2026 and vary with what a package includes.
| Belgrade (us) | Turkey | Hungary / Croatia | Austria | Germany | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hollywood smile (full set) | €6,000 | €3,000 to €6,000 | €8,000 to €12,000 | about €21,000 | about €25,000 |
| Zirconium crown (per tooth) | €250 | €180 to €350 | €350 to €500 | €1,450 | |
| Veneer (per tooth) | from €300 | €200 to €400 | €400 to €600 | €1,600 |
Our €6,000 is 24 zirconia crowns, 12 upper and 12 lower, with hotel accommodation for the seven days and airport transfers included. The cheapest Turkish packages often count fewer teeth, use a lower-grade material, or leave the hotel out, so compare what is in the number before you compare the number.
Crowns or veneers: the question behind "Turkey teeth"
A Hollywood smile can be made with veneers or with crowns. The difference is how much of your own tooth is removed. A veneer covers the front of the tooth; a crown covers the whole tooth, which is reduced on every side.
- Zirconia crowns are the right choice when teeth are filled, chipped, root-treated or worn. They are strong, keep their colour, and fix the structure and the look at the same time. This is how we make a full Hollywood smile.
- Veneers suit healthy, reasonably straight teeth that you want whiter or reshaped. Less tooth is removed. See dental veneers.
The "Turkey teeth" problem that UK and German dental associations have warned about is not the country. It is a high-volume plan that crowns every tooth by default, including healthy ones, with heavy reduction to make the result look very white and very even. Mixed plans, crowns where teeth are damaged and veneers where they are not, are common and often the better answer. Our veneers vs crowns vs bonding guide explains the choice tooth by tooth.
Five questions to ask any clinic, in Turkey or Serbia
- How many teeth, and why each one? A plan should say which teeth get crowns, which get veneers and which are left alone.
- Which material? Ask for zirconia or the specific ceramic in writing. "Porcelain" alone can mean several different things.
- What is included? Examination, X-ray, temporary teeth, the final crowns, the check-up, hotel and transfers. Ours includes all of them.
- Who does the work? A named dentist you can look up. Ours is Dr Bojan Perduv.
- What is the warranty, and where is it honoured? Get it in writing before you pay a deposit.
The shade: the decision people regret most
Bleach shades (BL1 to BL4) are whiter than any natural tooth, and BL1 on a darker complexion looks artificial. Natural bright shades (A1, B1) are what most patients choose when they do not want it obvious the teeth were done. A good rule: teeth should not be whiter than the whites of your eyes. We choose the shade with you in daylight, with the shade guide in your mouth.
Time and travel
A Hollywood smile takes one trip of about seven days in both countries: examination and preparation, temporary teeth while the laboratory works, then try-in and cementing. Belgrade is two to three hours by air from London, Frankfurt, Vienna and Zurich; Istanbul and Antalya are typically four hours or more from Northern Europe. If anything needs adjusting later, the shorter flight matters. EU, UK, US, Canadian and Australian citizens need no visa for stays up to 90 days in Serbia. The dental trip to Belgrade guide covers flights, hotel and the week day by day.
When Turkey is the better choice
- You want the lowest possible package price and have checked the clinic's named dentists, materials and independent reviews.
- You live closer to Turkey than to the Balkans.
When Serbia is the better choice
- You want a conservative plan and to be told which teeth to leave alone.
- You want to speak to the dentist who treats you, not a patient coordinator.
- You want a short flight in case anything needs a follow-up visit.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a Hollywood smile in Turkey?
Typical published packages run from about €3,000 to €6,000. The range depends on the number of teeth, the material and whether hotel and transfers are included. In Belgrade a full set of 24 zirconia crowns is €6,000 with the hotel and transfers included.
Is a Hollywood smile cheaper in Turkey or Serbia?
The cheapest Turkish packages are lower; like for like (24 zirconia crowns, hotel and transfers) the prices are close. Both are a fraction of the €21,000 to €25,000 quoted in Austria and Germany.
Are Hollywood smile veneers or crowns?
Either. Crowns for damaged or heavily filled teeth, veneers for healthy ones, and often a mix. A clinic that offers only one option for every patient is a reason to ask more questions.
How long does a Hollywood smile last?
Zirconia crowns keep their colour and, with normal care and check-ups, last well over a decade. The gums and the teeth underneath still need brushing and cleaning between the teeth.
